Jim Harmon is a founding member of Harmon, Smith and Vourvoulias.
Mr. Harmon has practiced primarily in the areas of personal injury litigation, workers’ compensation claims, DUI/DWI defense, and criminal defense. He has represented many individuals as well as corporate and institutional clients. Mr. Harmon is licensed to practice before all Louisiana State and Federal Courts, and he has prepared briefs filed with the United States Supreme Court.
Originally from Tallulah, Louisiana, Jim attended Louisiana State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 1984. Before entering law school, Mr. Harmon worked for the Louisiana House of Representatives as an analyst. He attended Tulane University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1988. He was admitted to the bar the same year.
Additionally, in connection with the real estate and other services provided through the firm’s partnership with Stone Title, Mr. Harmon serves as a Notary Public and a title insurance agent/producer.
