New Orleans, you asked for it, and you got it: Wicked is back by popular demand! However, it’s only for a limited time, so don’t miss out on your chance to see this box office record holder and winner of 35 major awards at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts.

Here is the summary of the show from the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts website:

“Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One – born with emerald green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for “the most complete – and completely satisfying – new musical in a long time” (USA Today).”

The show will be running from now through Sunday June 2 at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts. The theater is located at 1419 Basin St., New Orleans, LA.

Tickets start out at just $60, which is a great bargain to see the show that won a Grammy and three Tony Awards and was called “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster” by the New York Times. However, if you want to try to get an even better deal, you can take advantage of the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts’ Wicked Lottery. All you have to do is show up at the theater two and a half hours before a performance and enter your name in the lottery. If you’re selected, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase up to two orchestra seats for just $25.00 each!

For more information on the performance, show times, how the lottery works, or to purchase tickets, please visit the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts website.
