NOMA, the New Orleans Museum of Art, is proud to invite you to join them for another fun event that is part of the Friday Nights at NOMA series. The Friday night event, scheduled for June 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., will include “Art You Can Eat” as well as a lecture by Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen.

The “Art You Can Eat” segment of the evening will take place in Cafe NOMA. Chef Austin Kirzner of Red Fish Grill will create kosher culinary masterpieces from Western Europe. This demonstration will kick off the nine-week summer cooking series. The entire series will focus on tips and tricks behind classic and contemporary cooking, mixology and presentation, and professional techniques simplified.

If cooking isn’t really your thing, you can check out the lecture by Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen. Ms. Frelinghuysen is the curator of the American Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Her lecture is entitled “Louis Comfort Tiffany at the Fairs” and will go hand in and with the exhibit “Inventing the Modern World: Decorative Arts at the World’s Fair, 1851–1939.”

Here is the schedule of events for the evening:

  • 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – art activity with KID SMART
  • 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – Music by the Salt Wives
