Attention foodies across New Orleans: the Louisiana Seafood Festival is almost here.
New Orleans is known around the world for its delicacies from the ocean, and this event has the best of it all in one place. The festival will take place Oct. 11-13 at the City Park Festival Grounds.
The Louisiana Seafood Festival is held every year during the fall and features live entertainment, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, local arts and crafts, and world-famous cuisine from the top restaurants and caterers in New Orleans.
During past festivals, visitors have had the chance to taste food from famous restaurants like Acme Oyster House, Arnaud’s, Café Giovanni, Red Fish Grill, Ninja, Drago’s Seafood Restaurant, Galatoire’s, Remoulade, Oceana, Pontchartrain Point Café, and the Saltwater Grill.
Crab, shrimp, oysters, fish, and crawfish are all plentiful at the event, hauled out of the water and turned into multitude of creative dishes.
The festival also features artists’ booths with some of New Orleans’ most talented craftsmen in textiles, woodworking, and jewelry. There will be plenty of souvenirs available to remember the event, with all proceeds from the Louisiana Seafood Festival benefitting the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation.
The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers greater access to culinary education and arts, all while aiding in the support of health and social welfare across New Orleans and the entire state. They do this through community outreach, education, and hospitality, financial assistance within the industry, and benevolence.
