On Saturday, March 24th the New Orleans International Beer Festival will be held at Champions Square. The festival will showcase the growing popularity of craft beers from around the country and the world and more than 150 beers will be served in two-ounce pours.

Champions Square is located in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana across from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome (La Salle Street, New Orleans, LA 70112) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Local beers will include the full spectrum of Abita beers, NOLA Brewing’s joint venture with Stone Brewery of California, Bayou Teche, Covington Brewery, Gordon Biersch, and Parish Brewing which is a new brewery located in Broussard, Louisiana.

Other brews include six different Belgian beers, Anchor Steam, Red Hook, and Sierra Nevada, to name a few.

Since this will be a sizeable and centralized drinking event, please be aware that it is very likely that either the State Police or the New Orleans Police Department (or both) will set up a number of sobriety checkpoints designed to catch drunk drivers. As such, we recommend selecting a designated driver for the event. Designated driver tickers are available at the festival for $20.00 and cab service is available (United Cab is always a good choice).
